Culture a significant sector

With 1.7 billion euros of direct production and added value representing 1.9% of Luxembourg's gross value added in 2016, culture is a significant sector for our economy. Advertising, audiovisual and multimedia alone account for almost half of this production. Cultural employment is estimated at 16,500 workers in 2016. Of these, 15% are self-employed.
