The Banque centrale du Luxembourg’s consumer confidence indicator has declined for the third consecutive month in April 2018. The components of the indicator have evolved in two different ways this month.

In April, households’ expectations about the general economic situation in Luxembourg and their concerns about unemployment in Luxembourg have stabilised. In the meantime, households have considerably revised downwards their expectations about both their personal financial situation and their capacity to save. In total, the consumer confidence indicator, which is the arithmetic mean of the four components, has declined again in April 2018.
