Location of agricultural production in 1962 and 2009: a comparison of luxembourgish "cantons"

As noted by STATEC, since the 50s the “proximity” of agricultural production has no reason to be: reinforcement of rural exodus and infrastructure development have led to fewer farms. Just like its neighbors in the European Union, Luxembourg adjusted to demand and to a changing environment: the loss of farmers, an utilized agricultural area that is growing, pastures and fodder plants increase due to a growing cattle.
