Evolution of employment and of credit institutions’ balance sheet in December 2017

The Banque centrale du Luxembourg (BCL) informs that, based on preliminary data, the aggregated balance sheet of credit institutions reached 745 578 million euros on 31 December 2017, compared to 764 427 million euros on 30 November 2017, a decrease of 2.5%. Between the months of December 2016 and December 2017, the aggregated balance sheet decreased by 2.4%.

The Banque centrale du Luxembourg (BCL) informs that Luxembourg’s credit institutions employed 26 111 people as of 31 December 2017. Employment in credit institutions increased by 81 units compared to the previous quarter. Compared to the same period last year it increased by 48 units.
