The number of job seekers decreases by 2.5 % over a year

The number of available resident jobseekers registered at the ADEM is 15 956 as of March 31, 2018. Over one year, this represents a decrease of 411 people, or 2.5 %. The rate of unemployed, adjusted for seasonal variations, was 5.7 %.

The decline particularly benefits jobseekers under the age of 30 (-7.5 %) and low-skilled jobseekers (-5.9 %). The number of long-term unemployed has decreased by 4.5 %. However, the number of jobseekers who attended post-secondary education rose by 7.5 %.
