The number of job seekers decreases by 3.8 % over a year

The number of available resident jobseekers registered at the ADEM is 14 808 as of May 31, 2018. Over one year, this represents a decrease of 580 people, or 3.8 %. The rate of unemployed, adjusted for seasonal variations, was 5.6 %.
The decline particularly benefits jobseekers under the age of 30 (-7.7 %) and low-skilled jobseekers (-5.2 %). The number of long-term unemployed has decreased by 4.4 %. However, the number of jobseekers who attended post-secondary education rose by 2.1 %.
