Energy: decrease of the energy demand for a fifth consecutive year

Between 2014 and 2015, primary energy demand in Luxembourg decreased by 1.3%. Over the 5 last years, this represents a total reduction of 10,8%.

The strategy of the Third industrial revolution (TIR) for a transition towards a more sustainable society foresees to continue on this path. The objective: an even stronger reduction until the year 2050, notably in the field of transport, heating demand for buildings and in the industrial sector.
