Road accidents since 1960

Despite some fluctuations observed from one year to another, the long term evolution shows a decrease of accidents with injury since the mid-70st: in 1975, 1,866 accidents were recorded against 962 in 2011, representing a decrease of 48%. Over the same period, the number of registered road vehicles in Luxembourg has nearly quadrupled. Since 2000, the number of road accidents with injury has fallen below 1000.
