The tourism activity of the resident population remains stable in 2014. Nearly 83% of residents aged 15 and over, have undertaken at least one trip, including at least one overnight stay, which corresponds to 1.5 million trips. The destinations for their part are also unchanged: Germany and France are the favorite destinations for years, followed by Belgium and Spain. Half of the trips are booked, at least partly, via the Internet. In addition to the overnight trips, residents did 1.4 million day trips in the neighboring countries. 18% of the population did not go on holiday. The most often cited reason is simply the desire to stay at home, followed by financial or health reasons.
