N° 03/2019 - Employees work more hours in Luxembourg than in neighbouring countries

The actual working time is 1700 hours per year. In slight decline after the crisis, this number of hours has almost returned to the level of 2008. The actual working hours in the Grand Duchy correspond to the average of the European Union, while they are significantly higher than those of the neighbouring countries and bordering regions.
